It’s the season of giving at Marina Bay! This Christmas, we are kickstarting the formation of Marina Bay Alliance by giving back to the community. The stakeholders of the Alliance: Fullerton Bay Hotel, Marina One, Marina Bay Financial Centre, OUE Bayfront and One Raffles Quay are presenting ChariTrees 2019 and our very own Wishing Tree initiative. Over 50 physical Christmas Trees and 100 Augmented reality trees will line Marina Bay in the name of charity from 15 November to end of the year.
Visitors to the Bay can look forward to Luminous trees, a new addition under the ChariTrees initiative. They symbolise shining beacons of love, kindness and generosity, and will be featured alongside Art and Traditional Trees at the Marina Bay waterfront promenade. Proceeds are set to go towards the Business Times Budding Artist Fund and other beneficiaries.
You can also get into the spirit of giving through our wishing trees at Fullerton Bay Hotel, Marina One, Marina Bay Link Mall and OUE Bayfront. Simply adopt a wish from our wishing trees, and deliver the items on the collection dates! These wishes are dedicated to individuals from selected charitable organisations. Do your part to give and spread the Christmas cheer!
Is this the real life? Is this augmented reality?
Apart from physical trees, visitors can enjoy augmented reality trees on Facebook. Across Fullerton Bay Hotel, Marina One, Marina Bay Link Mall, OUE Bayfront, and Marina Bay Promenade, visitors can explore a reimagined Marina Bay with snow and Christmas trees via augmented reality. All visitors have to do is visit the respective Grant-A-Wish trees, and scan the QR codes on site to look at Marina Bay through a different lens.
ChariTrees 2019 will be on happening from 15 November 2019 to 26 December 2019
